Jamie Matheson

I studied Business at Lancaster University and made the first step in my career working for the Brand Strategy team at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Whilst I didn’t get a company car, I did learn a hell of a lot about customer segmentation and the importance of brand strategy. From there I moved into the tech sector (not as glamorous) where I worked as a Senior Manager in the Client Services team for a global agency. I spent my time working with enterprise marketing and sales people to deliver and manage the pipeline for some of the biggest brands in the business; PayPal, Adobe, Paolo Alto. Currently I am working in business development for a scale-up Software company. With all that said, my passion lies in consulting and teaming up with small businesses. I love being able to make a big impact with small changes, looking at the full picture holistically and applying big business industry knowledge in smaller environments.

Amir Thakrar

I’m a CIMA-qualified accountant (yes, very boring) and have worked across a range of fields - Corporate Strategy, Real Estate, Treasury - all for a NASDAQ-listed company. The general theme of my corporate journey is the concept of opportunity identification - whether that’s analysing a new market that we should be playing in, seeking out cost savings across our global property portfolio or selecting the most suitable financing instrument for a project. As a business, we also grow and incubate high potential start-ups in various industries - EV Chargers, Edge Computing, Data Centres - so I’m more than familiar with the end-to-end process of creating a business plan to formal execution. Away from this, I’m keen to apply my learnings and add value at a more local level through Katalyx. Further away from this, you can catch me playing football, cricket, tennis and golf in my spare time across West London.
